We were bringing in groceries on Friday night, and all the sudden I heard Maddux screaming. I ran out to the breezeway and picked him up and his head was bleeding pretty bad. I carried him into the kitchen and we cleaned off the cut and it looked pretty deep. After much debating I took him to the emergency room because I thought he might need stitches. Papaw Mike went with us because Brady was home with Wrigley. Maddux, Mike and I waited around for them do decide what they were going to do and about 11:45 they came in to glue it shut. Mimi (Lisa) made it there just in time to help me hold him down. We were all three so relieved that he didn't have to have stitches, that could have been very traumatic, at least for me. Other than being overly tired he didn't seem like he was troubled to much by the whole situation, I think it was harder for me then for him. I am sure this won't be the last time the "wild man" falls, maybe next time I won't be so scared. With the situation on Friday I am even more grateful that we live so close to people who care for us so much. I am sure the last thing Mike wanted to do was go to the hospital with us for a three hour visit, but I am so glad he did. I know we (Brady the kids and me) are so blessed to have such caring people in our lives. Thank you Mimi and Papaw and thanks Diane for lending your nursing expertise, I will be forever grateful.
