Over the Thanksgiving holiday we went to Louisville Kentucky to be with Brady's family at his Aunt Lois's new house. It was nice spending time with Mike, Lisa, Lois, Todd, Margo, and even Brady's aunt and uncle Lynn and Rick from Pennsylvania. One thing I did learn was that I have never in my 27 years seen a turkey raw. I guess the saying ignorance is bliss really applies to this instance. I was so grossed out seeing the raw turkey and all the innards. The particular turkey in question was a range free, organic turkey who was alive about a day or so before we ate him. This was troubling to me as well and let's just say as an animal lover I was not prepared to see all of that. But all that aside the turkey was delicious and I had no problems eating the poor bird. We had a lot of other good food and some really good desserts as well. Maddux and Wrigley did well aside from some minor bedtime troubles, although they did enjoy Lois and Todd's huge whirlpool tub. It was so big it looked like they were in a swimming pool. We thank Lois and Todd for opening up their home to us! It was so nice to spend Thanksgiving with people we care about so much!
