As you all know Barack Obama will be our new president as of January 20th, 2009, and I couldn't be more excited. I carefully studied the candidates this election and watched all the debates. I made my mind up before the primary that I would like Obama to be our next president. So yesterday along with everyone else I waited in line to vote for a little over 3 hours, I know I said 3 hours!! But as the results for Indiana came in I realized how much my vote did count. I realize that my vote wasn't the only one who counted but I was one of many who waited in line for a long time to exercise our God given right as Americans. So whoever your favorite candidate was just join me today in saying a little prayer and thanking God that we live in America where we can stand in line for three hours to decide our nations future. God Bless America!!!

I too waited in line for 3 hours, and although I didn't vote for Obama, I am proud that we have the right to exercise our civil rights and VOTE, something that many people in countries all over the world are not able to do. We live in a special place where our voices are heard and for that I am very thankful! God Bless America!
