A little weekend adventure...

Once a year Brady and I try to get away for a couple of days to recharge our batteries so to speak....we never go far and it usually ends up being some where in Chicago but this year Brady thought we should try something new. So instead of Chicago we went to Michigan City...it was great! We were able to relax and spend some time hanging out on the beach. I love the water and laying out in the sun....but the neighborhood pool just isn't the same as the sand and the waves. The water was surprisingly warm and although I am a chicken and won't go out past my waist, Brady was out there pretty far and just loved it. It was great to get some time together and enjoy the summer sun. I want to make one thing clear...I think we might have brought back at least half the beach with us....in our shoes, in our towels, our bags we brought our stuff home in. I guess that is what you get when you go to the beach right. We also went to a Cubs game and went to the zoo but I will save those for a different post...check back soon for more vacation updates and pics!
