On Memorial day we went to Conner Prairie and Mimi and Papaw decided to go with us. I was a day filled with fun...mainly for the adults! Wrigley kept saying..."I don't want to talk anymore I just want to look." If you have ever been to Conner Prairie you know that is a living history museum so the people in the town play the characters of the 1800's. It is very interesting but I can see where a little kid would get bored. There were things there that the kids loved though. There was a petting zoo where several animals were roaming around free. Maddux loved them but Wrigley wasn't so sure about it all. It was pretty overwhelming to her that all the goats and cows and sheep were just running around the barn. I think she ended up petting them but after there was a great amount of hesitation. I of course loved the animals and spent a lot of time petting them....I think I enjoyed it more than the kids did. But according to Brady the highlight of the day was the mock 1860's wedding that we got to attend. It was very cool seeing what a wedding would have been like in those days. We even got to see the bride and groom before the wedding when they were getting ready. It was a very fun day and I loved spending time with Lisa and Mike....I can't think of a better way we could have spent Memorial Day!
