Last Thursday we took the kiddos to the Indianapolis Zoo. We haven't been since before Wrigley was born so I was excited to share it with the kids. We were able to spend a wonderful day together as a family and see animals in the process....made for a great afternoon! We started off petting the sharks....now before you ask if we offered up our children's fingers as bait...we were actually petting dog sharks which are small and very gentle. They were swimming around this large pool that was about three feet deep. Many of the sharks were swimming up close to our hands so we could pet them....I think the sharks like it. Both Maddux and Wrigley got their hands down there and Sydnee of course was just amazed that we were petting sharks. Even though they are small it is really cool to see them up close like that. I love sharks and they are probably one of my favorite animals so being able to pet one was amazing. Maddux on the other hand loved the goats...so much so that he kissed one right in the mouth! After kissing it he looked it right in the eyes and said..."I wuv you!" Then he turned to me and said..."I wuv goats Mommy!" It was so funny and although I should have been grossed out I thought it was kind of sweet! He has my love for animals and it just melts my heart....although I did take him directly to the bathroom to wash his mouth out. It was a great day spent with each other and I am so glad that we could share one of my great loves with the children!
