-5 degrees....really?!
I am so behind on my blogging but I wanted to share some pictures with you...finally...considering we took this trip three weeks ago. Better late then never I guess. So anyway....about three weeks ago I got an e-mail from Soldier Field saying they were offering tours during the four day long car show. We have looked into tours there before but they don't usually offer them...only a couple of times a year. We kind of wavered on rather we should go or not because it was very cold and we had Wrigley and Maddux with us. Wrig is notorious for complaining excessively when she is cold, not unlike her mama =) We decided very last minute that we were going to go for it....Brady got a great deal on a hotel....and to him braving -5 degree weather was worth it for a chance to stand on his beloved Soldier Field. So with the kiddos in tow we packed it up and headed to Chicago. It was great. The kids did wonderful and we had a lot of fun. We had time to do some shopping and eat at a couple of great places and our hotel was only a block from Michigan Avenue...AKA the Magnificent Mile. Brady and I disagree on which football team is the best BUT touring Soldier was amazing. We were able to actually walk on the field and even tour the visiting locker room. Although I refuse to to give up on the Colt's to become a Bear's fan I did enjoy the history and traditions of Soldier Field. I still think a 70 degree stadium is best but I enjoyed Brady's giddiness and childlike wonder as he toured the hallowed ground that is Soldier Field. It was a marvelous little two day vacation...just what I needed to get my mind off of school for a couple of days....and that was a great thing =)
