Well we have had the gerbils not even one day yet and we have already had one escape and several scares. Last night me and Brady chased one of the gerbils for about 20 minutes before we finally caught it. Truth is I was laughing the whole time, and let me tell you those little creatures are really fast. As I was listening to them digging and running on their wheel at about 3 .m., I started to ponder the question was this such a good idea? When I see the joy it brings Syd and I guess we will continue chasing the little stinkers around for maybe like 5 more years, because according to what I have read is how long they can live.
