Yesterday we had Maddux's first birthday party for the family. He really didn't mind all the fuss, and he was really uninterested in his presents, even the wrapping paper. He just kind of crawled around unaware that this whole day was for him. In perfect Maddux fashion, he didn't disappoint when it came to the cake though. He really dug in! He was slow at first but when he realized how good the frosting was he really got into it with both hands. He played for less than 10 minutes and then he was ready to get all that cake off his hands. The bottom picture shows how distraught he was while waiting for someone to save him from the mess. I just can't believe my little man will be one on Wednesday, time sure flies! Well the good thing is if we didn't have our fill of birthday fun yesterday we get to do it all over again in a month when Wrigley turns two. My children are so precious and I love them all so much!
