snowpolcalypse 2011

So this recent snow storm is being billed as a "monster" but I'm still not convinced. The weather did get bad and for a while last night I thought our house might blow away but I think we dodged a major bullet. I DID not want all the ice... being without power would have been a disaster. If it were just Brady and I, I wouldn't have been so troubled but with the kiddos here we couldn't go without power for very long. The worst thing about the storm was trying to get out of the driveway today. I got both of the vehicles stuck...great job huh. After I finally got out Brady and I had to shovel the driveway because eventually we were going to have to get out anyway. The snow is very deceiving, it is really a solid piece of ice. I helped Brady with the driveway and when I came in Maddux was really excited about going out. I bundled him up and he got his little shovel and went to town. He was out for about 45 minutes and made a lot of head way on the sidewalk. He is so stinking cute and no matter the weather the boy LOVES to be outside.
