Kitten Sittin...

About two summers ago a small little kitty came to Mike and Lisa's house (Zacky) and the kids LOVED him, so Papaw and Mimi begrudgingly started feeding him. Well when you feed one cat then every straggly cat in the neighborhood will take advantage of the free meal and before you know it you have 10 cats. One that always stayed around was Cuphead (trust me there is a story behind her name,) anyway Cuppy as she was affectionately called had one litter of kittens last spring and then another litter in the fall. Well this fall just like clockwork she had her third litter of kittens. This time she had 5. The sad part is that when the kitty's were about 12 days old Cuppy was killed so this left Lisa with 5 little twelve day old kittens. She took them in and she started bottle feeding them. They have done amazing and are thriving despite not having their mother to take care of them. Lisa and Mike were going to be really busy this weekend so I am kitten sitting so to speak. They are cutest darn things ever and although it is hard work I am loving it. They were just 3 weeks old yesterday so I am hoping that I can help to transition them to dry food soon and teach them how to use a litter box because the biggest battle is keeping them clean. I gave them all baths tonight and gave them last feeding for the night so we will see how the whole litter things goes tomorrow. I will put some pictures of them up so you can see just how darn cute they are.
