A day at the beach....

We decided to take advantage of the long holiday weekend and enjoy a day at the beach, and no we didn't drive to Florida, just to the Mississinewa Reservoir. I know that isn't quite as cool as Florida but it was a lot closer and more economical. Anyway needless to say from a look at the pictures, Maddux and Wrigley loved the beach! Maddux was so excited that we were actually letting him play in the dirt and sand. We dug him a little hole in the sand and filled it with water and he was sitting in it and sticking his head down in it, it was very comical. Wrigley loved playing in the water and even waded out pretty far with no assistance from either me or Brady. She could touch bottom almost the whole length of the swimming area and was pretty insistent on walking around and playing by herself. Maddux was not as brave about going into the water but he did eat quite a bit of sand. I know his head is cut off in the picture of him eating sand but I couldn't resist the shot of us catching him in the act. It was a really good day and the beach was surprisingly nice and clean. Aside from the interesting characters you see at any public place like that it was good fun had by all!
