A hidden gem....?!

Brady and I are always looking for fun things to do close to home.....kid friendly things, well Monday we decided to venture to Gas City to check out their so called petting zoo. I don't think this can technically be considered a traditional "petting zoo," for many reasons. One being that you can't really get close to the animals to pet them and two being you have to look at the animals through a large chain link fence which dampens the experience. Maybe my expectations were to high, considering the fact that it was located in the city park. It's just the lure of a petting zoo, which I love more than most kids, was very strong. Anyway it was an experience and although I was a little disheartened by the whole petting zoo, it was a nice park and it was free....so I think that we might enjoy it again sometime. There were also a lot of ducks, which of course we fed. The kids loved that although there were a couple of very aggressive ones that kept biting our hands. Overall the experience was...well interesting but one we will remember!
