Saying good-bye to Uncle Rick.....

This past Thursday my great uncle Rick pasted away. He had been battling cancer for over three years....and although he put up a long, hard fight there was nothing more the doctors could do. He was one of those special selfless souls who put everyone before himself. So many times he would find little toys that he thought my kids couldn't live without and then he couldn't wait to give it to them. When all three of my kids were born he brought me beautiful flowers to the hospital and just brightened my day. He loved all of those around him and he always made sure you knew it. He was a special person and although it is hard for us to understand why such a gentle man would have to suffer like he did we still must know that God is good. He was walking with Rick on this long hard journey and could see things that we couldn't. He had this all planned out and although we might never understand we must still put our trust in God that he knew what was best. Rick is not suffering anymore and for that I thank God....but we still miss his physical presence. God has a plan for us all and Rick might not have believed that he made a difference in this world but he did leave a strong imprint on those who loved him and knew him well. I hope you have finally found the peace you have been seeking for so long and we will always miss and love you Uncle Ricky!!!
