Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

I think this quote is so true....especially now that it is pumpkin time! The lord is so good and he can find ways to touch you no matter where you are with your faith. I especially like the part about scooping out all of the yucky stuff....he has done that with me and although there are still times when my light doesn't shine as bright as I think it should it is comforting to know that he loves me enough to take the time to "carve" me into what he wants me to be. My faith in God and the hope he instills in me is what makes me get up everyday. Knowing that he believes in me more than I could ever believe in myself....what a great feeling! I don't think I will ever look at a pumpkin the same.
