Schools out for the summer.....well for at least 5 days!

So after my impromptu speech tonight I am officially done with my spring semester. I assumed this was going to be an easy semester when it started but it turned out to be one of my most stressful semesters yet. I guess that is what you get when you assume something ahead of time. Before this semester I thought I was a good writer but then along comes English Comp....dum..dum..dum! I figured out really quickly that either my teacher grades really hard or my teacher's before don't know how to properly grade a paper. I am thinking it might be a little bit of both. Through all the struggles I made it through and I am thinking I will probably get a B which is a lot better than I expected. But speech is a different story. All semester I have struggled with public speaking. I have tried several different approaches and even practiced my speeches before hand but then I get up there and freeze, bumbling like an idiot. I am hoping to get a C so I don't have to take it again, but the most frustrating thing about it is that I have put a lot of effort into the class but I just can't seem to give a good speech to save my life. At least in nursing there aren't a lot of opportunities to speak to large groups of people. Overall I am glad to be done with this semester and feel like I am a huge step closer to graduation....now just May term and then I have the summer off. No classes or school will be great for three months!
